Our Standard Course has been designed for students who want to complete the 150-hour A1 + A2 programme while balancing their Portuguese lessons with work, family and everyday life.
With 150 hours of Portuguese language training over 16 weeks, you have more time to absorb the language, practise between lessons and gradually build your confidence in Portuguese.

A more comfortable route to A2
The Standard Course takes you from A1 through A2, following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
It is an excellent option if you need recognised proof of A2 Portuguese but would prefer to complete a structured language course rather than prepare independently for the official CIPLE examination.
You learn the language progressively with the guidance of an experienced teacher and receive your A2 certificate after successfully completing the programme.
Who is this course for?
The Standard Course is particularly suitable for people who:
- work full-time or have busy personal schedules;
- prefer a more gradual approach to learning Portuguese;
- want sufficient time between classes to study and practise;
- are complete beginners or need to consolidate their elementary Portuguese;
- want to obtain their A2 certificate without sitting the CIPLE exam.
100% online, wherever you are
All lessons take place live online via Zoom, so there is no need to travel to a language school.
Your classes are taught by qualified and experienced Portuguese teachers, and all course materials are included.
You will study in a small group of no more than 10 students (average of 4/5 students), creating an interactive learning environment where everyone has opportunities to participate, ask questions and practise speaking Portuguese.
16 weeks to build a real foundation in Portuguese
Classes 3 times a week gives you the opportunity to make steady progress without an intensive daily commitment.
During your 150 hours, you will develop the four essential language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, alongside the vocabulary and grammar needed for everyday communication.
Our goal is for you to finish the course not only with your A2 certificate, but also feeling more comfortable using Portuguese in your daily life.
Your A2 Certificate
After successfully completing the 150-hour programme, you will receive your A2 Portuguese Language Certificate, which can be used as proof of Portuguese-language knowledge for the applicable Portuguese citizenship/nationality and permanent residence procedures.

Do I need to know Portuguese before I start?
No. The A1 + A2 programme starts from the beginning, so you can join as a complete beginner.
Over 150 hours you will work on speaking, listening, reading and writing, and finish able to communicate in common everyday situations in Portugal.
How are the classes organised?
Our group and private courses are 100% online and taught live by experienced Portuguese language teachers via Zoom, so you can attend from home, work or anywhere else that suits you.
Groups are limited to 10 students (average of 4/5 people), and all learning materials are included.
Can I have face-to-face classes or study one-to-one?
Yes. The Private Course can be taken one-to-one or as a private group (couples, families, friends or colleagues), with a tailor-made schedule.
In-person courses can also be organised upon special request, either at our facilities in Portugal or, subject to location and teacher availability, at your home in Portugal or in your country of residence.
How much do the courses cost?
Super Intensive: €5,900 · Intensive: €5,500 · Weekend: €5,250 · Standard: €4,750.
The Private Course, the Full-Immersion Course and At Your Place are priced on request, according to your needs.
