Welcome to CIPLE School. These terms explain the rules for using our website and for contacting us about our courses. We have written them in plain language so that they are easy to follow, and we hope you will find them fair and clear.

By using our website or by asking us about our courses, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before you continue. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.
These terms apply to visitors of our website and to people who contact us. When you enrol in a course, we will also give you the details of your course in writing, and those details apply together with these terms.
About Our Website and Services
CIPLE School is an online school that teaches Portuguese to international residents who want to live, work and study in Portugal, and who are working towards an A2 certificate. Our courses are taught live online by qualified teachers, and some face to face programmes are available on request.
The information on our website is a general description of our courses. We work hard to keep it accurate and up to date, but details such as prices, dates and availability can change. We confirm the final details with you before you enrol.
Enquiries, Enrolment and Payment
You can contact us through the form on our website, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp. When you send us your details, we use them to reply to you, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
Sending an enquiry does not create a contract. Your place on a course is confirmed only when we agree the details with you in writing and you accept them. Prices are shown in euros. Some programmes have no fixed price, and for those we prepare a personal quote.
Payment terms for each course are set out when you enrol. If you pay through a payment provider, that provider is responsible for handling your payment details securely.
Live Classes and Course Materials
Our classes take place live online in small groups of up to 10 students. You will need a computer or tablet, a stable internet connection, a microphone and a camera. We recommend that you test your equipment before your first class.
We provide the learning materials for your course. They are for your personal use only. Please do not copy, share or sell them without our written permission.
Your Certificate
After you complete a 150 hour programme successfully, we issue an A2 Portuguese Language Certificate. It can be used as proof of Portuguese language knowledge for the citizenship and residence procedures that accept it.
Every authority sets its own requirements and can change them. It is your responsibility to check what the authority you apply to requires. We cannot promise that an authority will accept your certificate or approve your application.
Rescheduling, Cancellations and Refunds
Life can be unpredictable, so we try to be flexible. On our Private Course you can reschedule or cancel a lesson with at least 24 hours of notice, and you can pause your course when work, travel or other commitments make it hard to attend.
For all other courses, the rules on cancellations, absences and refunds are confirmed in writing when you enrol. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law.
Your Responsibilities
We ask you to give us accurate information and to keep it up to date. Please treat your teachers and classmates with respect, and keep your class links and access details to yourself.
Please do not record, photograph or share our classes without the permission of everyone who takes part. Recordings can include the image and voice of other people, and we want every student to feel comfortable.
Use of the Website
You may use our website for lawful purposes only. Please do not try to damage it, interfere with how it works, gain access to areas that are not meant for you, or send spam or harmful content through our forms.
We may limit or block access to the website if someone breaks these rules.
Intellectual Property
The texts, images, logos, course content and design of this website belong to CIPLE School or to the people who allowed us to use them. They are protected by copyright and other laws.
You may view the website and print pages for your own personal use. Any other use needs our written permission.
Links to Other Websites
Our website may contain links to other websites, for example to the Complaints Book portal or to the pages of our partners. We do not control those websites and we are not responsible for their content or for how they treat your data. We encourage you to read their own terms and policies.
Privacy and Cookies
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and what rights you have. When you use our website, you also agree to the way we use cookies, which you can manage in our cookie settings.
Limitation of Liability
We do our best to teach well and to keep our website running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free from errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using the website or from relying on the information on it.
We do not promise a particular result from our courses, such as passing an exam or obtaining a residence or citizenship decision, because these depend on many things outside our control. Nothing in these terms excludes our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be excluded.
Changes to These Terms
We may change these terms from time to time, for example when our services or the law change. When we do, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If you keep using the website after the change, you accept the new version.
Governing Law and Complaints
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If a dispute cannot be solved between us, the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction, without affecting any rights you have as a consumer to use the courts of the country where you live.
If you are not happy with our service, please tell us first so that we can put things right. You can also make a complaint through the official Complaints Book, the Livro de Reclamações, at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.
